Mazoon Electricity organises workshop on first aid for employees

Muscat: To mitigate the effects of an accident or medical emergency, Mazoon Electricity Company, the leading electricity provider in Oman, organised a workshop on first aid for employees.

The workshop, held to train employees with first aid procedures, was conducted by legal nurse Ammar Al Lawati.

The objective of equipping employees with first aid skills is to preserve life, aid recovery and manage the incident.

A spokesperson for Mazoon Electricity said, “First aid training helps employees become more conscious of safety in the workplace, leading to a reduced number of accidents and injuries. We also feel employees trained in first aid will understand the steps to take during an emergency. A quick response can reduce recovery time, leading to less time lost from injuries.”

To provide employees with the knowledge, practical skills and understanding required to provide and coordinate first aid in the workplace is in compliance with Mazoon Electricity’s HSE policy.
