Muscat: A number of states in the Sultanate of Oman will celebrate on Sunday, April 16, 2022, “Qaranqasho”, a celebration which is held on the night of the half of the holy month of Ramadan.
It is called "Qaraqian" in some wilayats, a common name in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
"On this occasion, children wear traditional Omani clothes and set out in groups to visit homes and move through the lanes, singing folk songs, and home owners greet them with sweets and gifts," Oman News Agency (ONA) said.
