Over 8,000 seedlings planted in Musandam Governorate during first quarter of 2022

Muscat: More than 8,000 saplings have been planted by the Environment Authority in Musandam Governorate during the period from January 2022 till March 2022.

"The Environment Department in Musandam Governorate launched the national initiative to plant 10 million trees during the first quarter of 2022 by planting 8,600 seedlings.The department's specialists work to address all negative phenomena and environmental violations, the most important of which are random logging without a permit, oil pollution resulting from marine vessels, and burning palm waste," Oman News Agency (ONA) said in a statement.
