Tour of Oman set to begin, ROP announces parking restrictions

Muscat: With the Tour of Oman 2022 set to begin tomorrow, the Royal Oman Police (ROP) has announced parking restrictions on both sides of the road near the race route.

The first and second stages will kickoff at 12:05 PM on Thursday. The ROP said in a statement: “Directorate of Relations and Security Information - announces that vehicles will not be permitted to park on the sides of the roads adjacent to the race track of the Tour of Oman 2022-stages 1 & 2. Cooperation with ROP is appreciated and will serve the public interest.”

The route of Stage 1 will be as follows:
 
Stage 1: Al Rustaq Fort - Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre 138km - Thursday 10th, February - 12:05 PM

Departure from South Al Batinah Governorate (Al Rustaq) Rustaq Fort Parking Lot - into the direction of the Wilayat of Al-Awabi - and Wilayat of Nakhl- then turn right to the intersection of the Habraa - Al-Lajal - going to the Fanja area in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate - passing through Al-Saih Al-Ahmar. Then heading to the Governorate of Muscat via Rusayl to Al-Sahwa Tower Roundabout - turning right to the Military Technological College Roundabout - then Al-Irfan Intersection - ending in front of the Oman Convention and Exhibition Center.
