Muscat: The volume of foreign direct investment (FDI) into Oman increased by 5.6 per cent to reach OMR 16.43 billion by the end of the third quarter of 2021, according to statistics issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information.
The United Kingdom was at the forefront of foreign direct investment into the Sultanate of Oman at the end of the third quarter of 2021, with investments amounting to OMR 8.331 billion
The oil and gas extraction sector accounted for the largest proportion of foreign direct investments at the end of the third quarter of last year, at a value of OMR 11.133 billion, achieving a growth of 10.5 per cent.
