Muscat: People who have been in contact with patients infected with COVID-19 are required to quarantine at home for 14 days, if they are unvaccinated, irrespective of whether or not they show symptoms.

Advice provided by the Ministry of Health also called for people who have contracted COVID-19 to self-isolate at home for 10 days.

“Dear citizens and residents, if you have been diagnosed with COVID-19, you must adhere to home quarantine for 10 days,” said the ministry advisory.

“As for people who have been in contact with the patient, are vaccinated, and have not shown symptoms, they can continue life as normal.

“However, individuals who do show symptoms must perform the examination to confirm the presence of infection, and then adhere to quarantine for 10 days if they test positive,” added the Ministry of Health.
