Muscat: A number of areas in the Sultanate of Oman have recorded temperatures below 10 degrees Celsius.
According to the General Directorate of Meteorology, Wilayat of Saiq recorded the lowest temperature of 3.5 degrees Celsius, followed by Maqshin which recorded 6.8 degrees and Haima 7.7 degrees.
The directorate said in a statement: "Temperatures have dropped and frost was formed on the mountain tops. Some meteorological stations in desert areas recorded less than ten degrees Celsius in the past 24 hours."
