Power outage hits Muscat. Is your area affected? Read here to know.

Muscat:  A power outage hit residential houses, offices and traffic signals in Qurum on Wednesday morning.

A technical team from Muscat Electricity Distribution Company (MEDC) worked in the area and restored the power at around 12.30 pm, residents of the area said.

According to MEDC, the power cut happened suddenly at around 10 am and continued till 12.30 pm.

“It is because of a problem which occurred in one of the transformers in the Qurum area which also affected the traffic lights,” the official said.
