Oman's Ministry of Labour holds meeting to help trade unions

Muscat: The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labour held a meeting to discuss the challenges being faced by the trade unions in Dhofar Governorate.

"In the presence of His Excellency Sheikh Nasr bin Amer Al Hosni, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labour, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Federation of Oman Workers and a number of trade union leaders in the Governorate of Dhofar, a meeting was held yesterday, during which they discussed the challenges faced by trade unions, the importance of expediting the replacement procedures, and the role of the Ministry and unions in limiting layoffs," the General Federation of Oman Workers said in a statement.
