Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman called on the world to focus on confronting the Covid-19 pandemic until it recedes and recovers from it.
"The Sultanate of Oman affirms before the United Nations General Assembly in New York that its focus during its membership in the Economic and Social Council, which begins next January, will be to support the comprehensive sustainable development path within the national plans developed and consistent with the noble purposes of the United Nations," Oman News Agency (ONA) said in a statement.
In the speech delivered by diplomat Sultan bin Mohammed Al Fazari, the Sultanate of Oman calls to focus on confronting the coronavirus pandemic until it recedes and recovers from it, in light of the continued suffering of many countries of the world from its effects and repercussions.
