Muscat: Electricity companies are bearing all the costs involved in examining and repairing faults in electric lines and replacing the affected parts after cyclone Shaheen crippled the power supply in many areas.
The National Committee for Emergency Management said: "With the aim of fixing the damages caused to the electrical networks in homes, a number of licensed electricians took part in the effort with the support of Engineering Services at Ministry of Defence and volunteers."
The workers were divided into groups in order to restore electricity in the affected houses. The operating electricity companies shall bear all the costs involved in examining and repairing faults.
