Oman authorities strive to make roads accessible post cyclone

Muscat: Various entities across Oman have  come together to bring back normalcy post cyclone Shaheen.


Co-ordinate with affiliated clubs for charitable contributions, says Sports Ministry

 The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth has urged individuals and teams affiliated with sports clubs in Oman’s governorates wishing to provide charitable and voluntary initiatives to co-ordinate with the offices of their Excellencies, heads of social development committees in the wilayats through affiliated sports clubs.

"The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth calls on individuals and teams affiliated with sports clubs in all governorates of the Sultanate who wish to provide charitable and voluntary initiatives, to co-ordinate with the offices of their Excellencies Walis, heads of social development committees in the wilayats, through affiliated sports clubs, regarding logistics" the ministry said in a statement.

Muscat: The Royal Army of Oman continues efforts to construct, pave and reopen the damaged roads in North Al Batinah Governorate.

A statement issued online by Oman News Agency (ONA) said: "The Royal Army of Oman continues its efforts in constructing, paving, and reopening the damaged roads in the North Al Batinah Governorate in order to restore traffic between the affected areas as a result of the tropical cyclone Shaheen."
