Work underway to reopen roads in Oman

Muscat: The maintenance work is underway to reopen some roads that were affected by the tropical cyclone Shaheen.

"Efforts continue to reopen mud roads in the villages of Wadi Bani Ghafer in the Governorate of South Al Batinah to facilitate movement of vehicles. Maintenance work continues to open the Al Batinah main road located in the Al Bidaya District, Wilayat of Suwaiq, North Al Batinah Governorate," the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology said in a statement.

In another statement the ministry said: " Work is underway to remove accumulated dust and open the Ibri-Dhank-Al-Sunaynah dual carriageway in Al Dhahirah Governorate."
