Cyclone Shaheen: Here's how you can stay safe

Muscat: The National Committee for Emergency Management issued guidelines and instructions to be followed for safety during the tropical cyclone Shaheen.

The committee said in a statement: "For the sake of your safety, please follow the latest updates, guidance and instructions issued by the National Committee for Emergency Management."

Here's how you can stay safe before or during the cyclone:

1- Make sure your vehicle has a tank full of petrol.

2- Follow the latest updates and news published by the Sultanate of Oman's official agencies.

3- Follow instructions and guidelines issued by The National Committee for Emergency Management.

4- In case you want your location evacuated, kindly be cooperative for your safety.

5- Stay at home if there is no evacuation requested. Do not get out except for serious emergencies and in case you are outside, avoid unsafe roads and do not risk going through valleys.
