Tropical storm Shaheen intensifies in Oman

Muscat: The Tropical Storm Shaheen has deepened into a Category 1 tropical cyclone, Oman Meteorology said.

In a statement, Oman Meteorology gave updates on the tropical situation in the Arabian Sea and said that the Tropical Storm Shaheen deepened into a Category 1 tropical cyclone. The wind speed around the centre is 64-82 knots, the centre is 500 km away from the coast of the Sultanate, the accompanying clouds are 350 km away, and the expected direction of the case is west towards the coast of the Sultanate.”
