Muscat: To limit the spread of COVID-19, the Government Communication Centre (GC) has advised organisers of licensed wedding halls and hotel establishments to notify concerned municipalities at least 72 hours before an event.
"Administrative procedures for organisers in licensed wedding halls and hotel establishments, which are:
1- Fill out a pledge form to hold the event, with signatures of both parties mandatory.
2- Non-vaccinated employees and visitors are not allowed to enter.
3- Notify the concerned authority (municipalities) at least 72 hours before the event is held.
4- Placing an indicative board at the entrance clearly showing the risk of COVID-19 while using the halls in the event of non-compliance with the preventive instructions. The facility bears responsibility in the event that one of the attendees becomes infected with COVID-19.
5- Achieve physical distancing between chairs and place instructions indicating the same.
6 - Establish a special record to fill data of employees and the time periods (entry and exit time), and make sure they are fully vaccinated.
7- Provide sanitisers containing 70 per cent or more alcohol for workers and customers.
8-Organise the attendance mechanism according to the space available to implement the principle of safety distance, provided that the allowed number does not exceed 50 per cent of the capacity.
9- Commitment to the procedures in place by the Ministry of Health regarding quarantine and the time period for the same.
10-Documenting the cleaning and disinfection operations in the work records, mentioning the substance used for disinfection, if possible
11-Increase the frequency of cleaning and disinfection of common surfaces using appropriate materials at all times and focusing on door handles, stairs, chairs, tables, TV controls, air conditioners, projectors and speakers," GC said in a statement.
Preventive measures in dealing with customers:
1- The necessity of taking the vaccination according to the health protocol in force by the Ministry of Health.
2- Commitment to measure the temperature of workers at the beginning of each shift and after every six hours of work, and to set a special record for the same.
3- Commitment to measure the temperature of the attendees before they enter the hall and not to allow those whose temperature is higher than 37.5 degrees Celsius.
4- Obligation to measure the temperature of all support service employees, such as maintenance workers or supply specialists.
5- Require all workers to adhere to physical distancing in the halls and facilities.
6- Wearing face masks is mandatory for all employees and customers.
7- All workers must not come to work in case they suffer from any of the symptoms of the disease or in the case of contact with one of the infected cases inside or outside the work environment.
