Pact signed to manage, operate incubator at Sohar University
The agreement was signed by ASMED Chairperson Halima Rashid Al Zar’eeya and Prof. Barry Winn, President of Sohar University.

Muscat: The Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises Development (ASMED) yesterday signed an agreement with the University of Sohar to establish, manage and operate an incubator dedicated to converting industries’ entrepreneurs at the university.

The agreement also provides for the development of 10 new small and medium enterprises.

It is a way of cultivating firms capable of delivering top technical and administrative performance in the field of converting industries. The aim is to ensure an entrepreneur’s sustained practice of business.

It covers a wide range of training, consultancy, marketing, designing and planning services.

The hands-on practices also include electing equipment, communicating with potential suppliers, establishment of knowledge-transfer networks, gaining property rights and realizing innovation in the industrial sector.
