OMR 2 million water networks project work begins in Oman

Muscat: With a value of more than OMR 2 million, work on a project to construct water networks in the Wilayat of Al Mudhaibi in North Al Sharqiyah Governorate has begun, Oman News Agency (ONA) said on Wednesday.

"Oman Water and Wastewater Services Company (OWWSC) announced the start of construction works for the project to construct water networks in the Niyabat of Sinaw in the Wilayat of Al Mudhaibi in the North Al Sharqiyah Governorate, at a cost of OMR 2,834,236," Oman News Agency (ONA) said in a statement.

Engineer Badr bin Salem Al Rabani, project manager at the company, said that the scope of the project's work includes establishing water distribution networks for several major areas in the Niyabat of Sinaw.

Al Rabani pointed out that high-density polyethylene pipes that conform to the latest local and international specifications will be used in the construction of water networks to preserve the environment.
