Muscat: Oman Water and Wastewater Services Company (OWWSC) will implement a project to construct water networks in the Wilayat of Sur on September 1, 2021, at the cost of at least OMR one million.
"Oman Water and Wastewater Services Company reveals the start of the preparatory work for the project to construct water networks in the Wilayat of Sur in the South Al Sharqiyah Governorate, at a cost of OMR 1,857,860," Oman News Agency (ONA) said in a statement.
Engineer Badr bin Salem Al Rabani confirmed that the construction work of the project will start on 1 September and will last for 18 months. It aims to strengthen water distribution networks in various regions in the Wilayat of Sur as part of the company's plans to provide water supply in various governorates and wilayats.
Al Rabani added that the scope of the project’s work includes the construction of water distribution networks for three main areas in the Wilayat of Sur, namely Abu Qalaa, Al Falaj, Seih Al Hassanat, and other areas. High-density polyethylene pipes will be used that conform to the latest local and international specifications.
