Muscat: The Sultanate exported fish worth OMR 13 million to the Gulf countries in 2020.
According to the National Centre for Statistics and Information, the value of the Sultanate’s fish exports last year amounted to OMR 13.1 million, a decrease of 2.8 per cent compared to 2019.
Of the total fish exports, 22 per cent was to the Gulf Cooperation Council countries. The United Arab Emirates topped the list of GCC countries buying fish from Oman at 57 per cent, while the value of exports to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia reached OMR 6 million.
