Attempt to smuggle over 100 kgs of drugs into Oman foiled

Muscat: An infiltrator has been arrested by the Royal Oman Police (ROP) for attempting to smuggle narcotics into Oman.

"The Police Command of South Al Sharqiyah Governorate, in cooperation with the South Al Sharqiyah Coast Guard, arrested an infiltrator at sea while trying to smuggle narcotics into the Sultanate. More than 110 kilograms of different types of drugs were found in his possession, in addition to a large amount of psychotropic substances. The case is under process," ROP said in a statement.
