4 cases of workers' rights violations registered in Oman

Muscat: The General Federation of Oman Workers (GFoW) has registered four reports of workers' rights violations from August 1 till August 5, 2021.

According to the federation, reports included violations such as deduction of wages, forcing workers to go on unpaid leave, deduction of leaves during the quarantine period and notifications of termination of service.

After meetings of work teams in the governorates, the GFoW added that there are a total of six settlement records and collective work agreements. Officials are assigned to follow up and review workforces whose services were terminated.
