Oman's Tax Authority urges people to submit VAT tax returns before deadline

Muscat: Tax Authority has notified all the registered taxpayers of VAT to submit the tax returns on the specific date to avoid any legal penalties.

A statement issued by the Tax Authority said: "In accordance with the Value Added Tax Law issued by Royal Decree No. 121/2020, all taxpayers registered with the Tax Authority must submit returns on the dates specified in the law in accordance with administrative decisions and regulations issued on this basis."

"In the event of non-compliance, Tax Authority will levy penalties as stipulated in the same law," the statement added.
