Girl drowns while swimming in Suwaiq

Muscat: A child drowned in a swimming pool in South Al Batinah Governorate on Thursday.

The girl was swimming in a pool in the Wilayat of Suwaiq, where the accident occurred.

"The water rescue team in North Al Batinah Governorate responded to a report that a girl had drowned in a swimming pool, and recovered her body," said the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority.

The authority calls on parents to closely monitor children while swimming to prevent such accidents.
