Oman-US officials meet to explore areas of cooperation

Muscat: An official session of talks between the Sultanate and the US was held at the Foreign Ministry on Tuesday.

The session explored areas of cooperation between the two countries and reaffirmed their keenness to continue promoting them in various fields.

The two sides also exchanged views on international and regional matters of common concern.

The Sultanate was represented by Sheikh Khalifa Ali Al Harthy, Undersecretary for Diplomatic Affairs at the Foreign Ministry, whilst the US was represented by Wendy Sherman, Deputy Secretary of State.

The session was also attended by the American Ambassador accredited to the Sultanate and a number of officials from both countries foreign ministries.
