COVID-19: Nearly 2 million people vaccinated in Oman

Muscat: Nearly two million people have been vaccinated against COVID-19 in Oman.

  A statement issued online by Oman News Agency (ONA) said: "1,926,307 people were vaccinated with COVID-19 vaccines in the Sultanate until Sunday, July 25, 2021 with a rate of 53 per cent of the total target group."

The total of those vaccinated with the first dose reached 1,587,784 people, at 45 per cent, while the total of those vaccinated with two doses reached 338,523 people, at 10 per cent.

The Governorate of Muscat recorded the highest vaccination rate, with a total of 618,264 people vaccinated or 55 per cent of the total targeted, followed by the North Al Batinah Governorate with 234,808 people or 39 per cent, followed by the South Al Batinah Governorate with 153,277 people with a rate of up to 45 per cent.
