Ministry urges people to follow lockdown rules in Oman

Muscat: In order to deal with COVID-19, the Supreme Committee has urged people to abide by the lockdown. 

"The Supreme Committee to deal with COVID-19 calls on all members of society to cooperate and abide by the decisions of the complete closure of commercial activities and the movement ban of individuals and vehicles during the days of Eid Al Adha, from 20 to 22 July 2021, to reduce COVID-19 infections," the Ministry of Interior said in a statement 

The Ministry added that In order to facilitate the availability of basic services and the movement of people during emergencies and to deal with inquiries from various individuals, the joint operations centre will be on duty round the clock during the period of complete lockdown. The centre will include representatives from Royal Oman Police, health sector, municipal sector, tourism sector, commerce and industry sector,  transportation, communications and information technology, relief and shelter sector, agricultural, fisheries and water resources sector. 

"The centre is pleased to receive your communications and deal with them via the number 1099," the statement added.
