Several illegal boats, fishing nets seized in Oman

Muscat: A number of unlicensed boats and 50 prohibited fishing nets in the Wilayat of Duqm have been seized by the Ministry of Agricultural Wealth, Fisheries and Water Resources.

"The fisheries control team in Al Wusta Governorate seized several unlicensed boats in the Wilayat of Duqm and 50 pieces of prohibited nylon nets. The necessary legal measures were taken against the violators," the ministry said in a statement.
