4.8 magnitude earthquake recorded in Southern Iran

Muscat: An earthquake was reported in Southern Iran on Tuesday, according to the Earthquake Monitoring Centre (EMC) at the Sultan Qaboos University.

A statement issued online by the EMC said: "An earthquake in Southern Iran with magnitude of 4.8, at 3.44 pm MCT and at a depth of 10 km has been recorded. The earthquake was recorded 338 km away from Khasab."
