Seeb records highest COVID-19 deaths

Muscat: Seeb recorded five new COVID-19 deaths during the last 24 hours, the highest number of deaths reported in the country on Monday, according to data from the Ministry of Health.

The Tarassud+ app, which provides daily updates on the COVID-19 situation in the country, reported that Muscat Governorate recorded 17 deaths due to COVID-19. The five cases in Wilayat Seeb aside, both Wilayat Muscat and Muttrah reported four deaths each, while both Wilayat Bausher and Wilayat Al Amerat recorded two deaths each.

Outside the Governorate of Muscat, the highest jump in deaths was seen in the North and South Al Batinah Governorates, both of which reported five deaths each.

However, Dhofar and South Al Sharqiyah Governorates recorded two deaths each, followed by Al Wusta, North Al Sharqiyah Governorates with the least number with one death.

Fortunately the four governorates of Dakhiliyah, Al Dhahirah, Al Buraimi and Musandam all recorded zero deaths, bringing the total number of deaths to 33.
