Ministry urges private enterprises to make use of government training programmes

Muscat: The Ministry of Labour issued clarification regarding the availability of opportunities for private sector enterprises to benefit from training programmes supported by the government to hire qualified Omani candidates in the ICT sector.

The ministry said in a statement: "The Ministry of Labour, represented by the Training Support Centre, in cooperation with the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, published a clarification regarding the availability of opportunities for private sector enterprises to benefit from the government’s support to qualify national candidates with international certificates licensed by Cisco Systems."

The ministry stated that the initiative is directed to private sector companies and institutions wishing to employ qualified job seekers with the following international certificates:

- CCNA

- CCNP Enterprise

- CCNP Security

- Cisco Onboarding

The ministry also mentioned that job opportunities offered by private sector institutions and companies wishing to benefit from this initiative will be studied and approved to start training the candidates.
