Muscat: A student company from Sultan Qaboos University (SQU), has succeeded in designing an online platform specialised in the field of automobile parts. The platform will be launched next month.
"The Gear Up student company at Sultan Qaboos University managed to design an Omani electronic platform specialised in the field of buying and selling automobile parts, which aims to save consumers time and effort. The platform will be launched in July," Oman News Agency (ONA), said in a statement.
Ahmed Al Mazrouei, Head of Public Relations, said: "The idea of creating the electronic platform came from the observed difficulties consumers face in obtaining automobile parts through a questionnaire to identify the most important challenges."
"Using the electronic platform begins with entering the type of car, specifying the part to be changed, and viewing the part to be ordered. An electronic payment service is also available in co-operation with Thawani Company, delivery services are available to various governorates," Al Mazrouei added.
