Omani students in Japan safe after earthquake: Embassy

Muscat: The Embassy of Oman in Japan has confirmed that Omani students in the country are safe, after an earthquake occurred in Northeastern Japan.

A statement issued online by the Oman Embassy in Tokyo said: "The Omani students in Japan are safe, and the tsunami warning has been lifted on the Miyagi coast a short while ago. The Embassy requests everyone to be careful of aftershocks in the event that they occur, and stresses the importance of following the instructions of the local authorities.
