Circular on electronic service to prepare budget estimates for government agencies issued in Oman

Muscat: The Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Economy announce the establishment of the electronic service for preparing budget estimates of government agencies with an aim of simplifying government procedures and transactions.

The Oman News Agency said: "The ministries of finance and economy issue a circular regarding the rules for preparing estimates of the state's general budget for the fiscal year 2022 in line with the 'Oman 2040' vision and the programs contained in the 'strategic programs folder' of the 10th five-year development plan.”

The circular clarifies that the service of electronic preparation of budget estimates of government agencies (current and development) has been created through an electronic link within the framework of the transformation process towards e-government, with the aim to simplify procedures and dealing with ministries, government agencies, public bodies and institutions, for raising the efficiency of preparing the state’s general budget and facilitating the procedures for following up on its implementations.
