Muscat: The Environment Authority has issued a statement regarding a fire that broke out in one of the trees at Riyadh Al Jabal Farm affiliated with the Royal Court Affairs in Al Jabal Al Akhdar.
The Environment Authority has followed up on the report that a fire broke out in one of the trees at Riyadh Al Jabal Farm affiliated with the Royal Court Affairs in Al Jabal Al Akhdar, where the specialists from the farm put out the fire," the Environment Authority said in a statement.
"These behaviors show irresponsibility and indifference on the part of some individuals and tourists by lighting a cooking fire near trees, especially since these trees are oily and are quickly affected even by the remnants of cooking and grilling," the authority added.
The authority calls on everyone to preserve the environment and its natural components and not to burn or grill near wild trees.
