Muscat: NMC Healthcare Oman, one of the largest Healthcare Groups in Oman in association with Ministry of Health, is well set for mass vaccination drive against COVID-19.
Dr Deep Makkar, General Manager NMC Healthcare said, “NMC Healthcare Oman is set for mass vaccination drive against covid- 19 with approval of regulatory authorities. As per Ministry of Health, Oman mass vaccination drive against COVID-19 is set to begin in full swing from the early week of June following the scheduled arrival of 1.25 million doses of the vaccine in one month, with the first shipment of 205,000 doses having already arrived last week in Oman and about 200,000 doses of the vaccine are expected to receive every week.”
Dr Deep continued, “We want to contribute to the vaccination drive in Oman. We care deeply about the health of the general public.
“So, we have created safe environment at NMC Hospitals as the entire medical staff at NMC – Doctors & Nurses - have got vaccinated the first dose of vaccine and set to offer vaccination to the residents of Oman.
“We thank Ministry of Health for giving priority to Private licensed healthcare workers for COVID vaccination and thanks to them very soon the whole target groups in Oman would be vaccinated.
“We, at NMC Oman, are happy and proud to announce that NMC has created a Mass Vaccination centre in partnership with Panorama Mall which is near to NMC Specialty Hospital Ghoubra.
The whole idea of Mass Vaccination centre is to create a safer environment with easy access and Panorama Mall was the right fit as people were little afraid of coming to hospital for the vaccination. We thank Panorama Mall management who understood and gave importance to people safety and an experience of well being because the people who are coming for vaccination are healthy people.
The NMC COVID Vaccination centrr at Panorama Mall was inaugurated on 10th June, 2021 under the auspices of Dr Mazin Al Khabouri, Director General for Private Health, MOH.
Dr Mazin expressed thanks to NMC Healthcare for providing such an efficient and safe environment for vaccination.
He further appealed to general public to register with MOH or private hospitals for COVID vaccination and get themselves and their family members vaccinated as soon as possible in line with guidelines of Ministry of Health.
“We owe our gratitude to all the corporates/companies who have placed trust in NMC Healthcare for vaccination of their employees and it is our duty to make sure that we create a better-than-expected environment for a safer vaccination.”
The service will be available from 8am to 8pm, seven days in a week. Vaccination center at the Panorama Mall has capacity for up to 1,000+ vaccinations daily.
The infrastructure is in place and our medical team is all equipped for vaccination. People coming for vaccination can experience ample parking space and can plan shopping as well in Panorama Mall during their visit. We are expecting good footfall for vaccination asmany corporates wish to have a safer and more spacious arrangements to get their employees vaccinated.
