Covid-19: Sohar hospital suspends consultations at clinics as cases rise

Muscat: Sohar Hospital will suspend the reception of patients at a number of clinics due to the increase in cases of COVID-19.

The Directorate General of Health Services in North Al Batinah said: “In line with the precautionary measures that the Sultanate is undergoing resulting from the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic, and in view of the high rate of infections in the Sultanate and as additional precaution, Sohar Hospital will suspend receiving patients at outpatient departments starting from Tuesday, June 15, 2021 for a period of two weeks.

The hospital added: "This suspension will be reviewed based on the data and statistics issued regarding the outbreak of the pandemic in the Sultanate."

The hospital noted that the monthly medication dispensing service will continue and can be accessed on WhatsApp by calling 91212296.
