Muscat: Dr Kadhim Jafar Al Lawatia, senior consultant in cardiology and the Director General of Specialised Medical Care at the Ministry of Health, has received the Arab Doctor Award 2021.
The announcement was made during a regaular session of the Arab Health Ministers Council held virtually.
Dr Sulaiman was conferred the award in recognition of his contributions towards developing services related to cardiology at local, regional and international levels.
The award is given to physicians working in the field of health in the Arab world or those abroad who are credited with initiatives carried out within Arab lands that lead to development of the healthcare sector.
