Muscat: At a cost of over OMR 2 million, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning has started to build 50 housing units for citizens in a mountainous area in North Al Sharqiya Governorate.
Oman News Agency ONA said: "The construction work has begun to build 50 housing units for the residents of the village of Hail Al Koufof at the top of the White Mountain in the Wilayat of Dima Al Tayyin, with a total amount of OMR 2, 226,389."
Masoud Al Saadi, Director of the Department of Social Housing and Projects in North Al Sharqiyah Governorate, said: "This project is one of the most important housing projects implemented by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning in the Wilayat of Dima and Al Tayyin, and is expected to be completed by the end of December 2022."
He added that the ministry is in the process of implementing a number of housing development projects in a number of wilayats of North Al Sharqiyah Governorate for eligible categories according to social research and cases that meet the conditions.
