Muscat: Shops across Oman remain closed, as part of the measures adopted by the Supreme Committee, to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The measures will be in place from 4am on Saturday, 8 May, until 7pm next Saturday.
Public markets in the Sultanate also implemented the decision of the Supreme Committee and showed commitment to the ban on all commercial activities throughout the day.
A statement issued online by Oman News Agency, (ONA), said: “Governors and officials emphasised that the implementation of the decisions of the Supreme Committee reflects the keenness of the community and residents to contribute to facing the pandemic and reducing the number of infections. Commercial activities excluded from the committee's decisions will work in accordance with the regulations and safety precautions.”
