Earthquake reported 627 near Khasab

Muscat: An earthquake has been reported in Southern Iran on Sunday, according to the Earthquake Monitoring Centre (EMC), at the Sultan Qaboos University.

A statement issued online by the EMC said: "An earthquake in Southern Iran with magnitude of 5.8, at 10:41 am MCT and at a depth of 10 km has been recorded. The earthquake was recorded 627 km away from Khasab."
