Charthouse Residence inaugurated in Manama

Manama: Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, opened on Sunday the Charthouse Residence in Manama within the Bahrain Harbour District, a subsidiary of Infracorp, near the iconic Bahrain Financial Harbour and Harbour Heights.

Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture; Fatima bint Jaafar Al Sairafi, Minister of Tourism; Abdullah bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce; and Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, Governor of the Capital Governorate, were present.
Hisham Al Rayes, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Infracorp, and a number of the company’s employees were among the Deputy Prime Minister’s recipients.

The Deputy Prime Minister affirmed that the continuous growth of the tourism sector is the result of tireless efforts to strengthen the infrastructure to promote Bahrain’s status as a global tourist destination, to achieve the goals of the comprehensive development process led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, with the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

The Minister emphasised the impressive expansion of highly rated hotel facilities, as well as the keenness of internationally known hotel brands to establish a foothold in Bahrain. Based on the quarterly economic report for this quarter, it is clear that the private sector and investors enjoy significant support and facilities for practicing this vital activity. The rise in the number of tourists and occupancy rates in hotels contributed to this increase.

Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah was briefed on the project, which is an important tributary to the national economy as well as an important non-oil contributor. It also represents an important step forward in the development of Bahrain Financial Harbour.

Al Sairafi affirmed that the opening of the project represents the collective efforts of Team Bahrain from all governments, led by the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibition Authority (BTEA), aimed at enhancing investment opportunities in Bahrain, attracting leading international hospitality companies, and strengthening the private sector’s role as an economy engine.

Al Rayes thanked the Deputy Prime Minister for opening the residence, commending the government’s support of the project.

“We are pleased to announce the launch of another new tourism attraction in Manama, in line with the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030, as the Chart House Hotel is another landmark that contributes to the growth and development of the hotel and hospitality industry,” he added.
