Muscat: Members of the Supreme Committee to deal with COVID-19 have visited the immunisation centre at the Sultan Qaboos Complex for Culture and Entertainment in Dhofar Governorate.
"A number of their Excellencies members of the Supreme Committee to deal with COVID-19 headed by His Excellency Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi, Minister of Interior, visited the immunisation centre at the Sultan Qaboos Complex for Culture and Entertainment in Salalah. To check on the progress of the vaccination process for the target groups in the national COVID-19 immunisation campaign," Oman News Agency (ONA) said in a statement.
His Excellency Sayyid Mohammad bin Sultan Al Busaidi, Minister of State and Governor of Dhofar, calls on the target groups to expedite receiving vaccination in light of the efforts made by the government represented by the Supreme Committee to deal with COVID-19.
Sayyid Mohammad Al Busaidi said in a statement to the Oman News Agency(ONA) that unfortunately we have lost a lot of lives as a result of inaction in taking vaccination. Dhofar Governorate has seen the lowest turnout in the Sultanate at 42 per cent, where the rest of the governorates are above 80 per cent, and for schools, the turnout rate has reached 15 per cent.
