New police station set to open in Oman

Muscat: Royal Oman Police (ROP) has announced that a new police station is set to be opened in the South Al Sharqiyah governorate on Tuesday.

The information was disclosed by ROP in an official online statement.

“Next Tuesday (30/10/2018) will witness the opening of the new Al Kamil Wal Wafi Police Station building, under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Abdullah bin Mustahail Shammas, Governor of South Al Sharqiyah, in the presence of General Hamad bin Suleiman Al Hatmi, Assistant Inspector General of Police and Customs,” ROP tweeted.

The opening of the new police station will make it easier for the ROP to facilitate citizens and residents, ROP said.

“A number of honorees, dignitaries, senior officers of the Royal Oman Police, military, other security forces and citizens are set to attend the ceremony. The inauguration of this centre and the service building is part of the strategy of the Royal Oman Police to develop its services so to facilitate citizens and residents,” ROP added.
