Muscat: Omani star Fatma Al Nabhani entered the second round of the $10,000 Casablanca ITF Pro Circuit tournament in Morocco.
The top seeded Omani overcame Slovanian qualifier Nina Kolar for a 6-4, 6-3 victory in her first round match.
In the second round, Fatma will take on unseeded Russian Ksenia Kuznetsova, who advanced after defeating Moroccan wildcard Radia Lalami 6-0, 6-2.
In the doubles competition, Fatma and her Spanish partner Olga Parres Azcoitia were given a first round bye and the second-seeded pair will play their second round match on Wednesday against Anne Sophie Forget of France and Sara Lanca of Portugal.
Anne and Sara defeated local girls Lamiae Aziz and Abla El Kadri 7-5, 7-5 in their first round match.
