Muscat: As many as 1,117 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) were registered in Oman on Monday, in addition to 10 new COVID-19-related death cases.
This brings the total number of positive COVID-19 cases to 164,274 in the Sultanate.
The total number of COVID-19-related death cases reached 1,722, the Ministry of Health said.
The Ministry also pointed out that 862 new cases have recovered, bringing the total number to 147,539 recoveries.
The Ministry also pointed out that 98 cases were hospitalised over the past 24 hours, adding that the total number of current hospitalised COVID-19-infected patients stands at 606, of them 198 are in intensive care units (ICUs).
