Muscat: Standard and Poor's global rating affirmed the Sultanate's credit rating at "B + / B" with a stable outlook, the Ministry of Finance announced.

According to the ministry's statement, the agency expects a decrease in the financial and economic pressures on the Sultanate in the current year.

"The agency believes that the fiscal measures taken by the government will contribute to reducing the deficit," the ministry said, adding, "The agency indicated the importance of the government continuing with the economic and financial measures it has taken, which would contribute to strengthening the financial position and improving the country's credit rating."
