Six people convicted of violating Supreme Committee regulations
Muscat: Three-month imprisonment and a fine of OMR 1,000 was imposed on six people from various governorates for violation of the decisions of the Supreme Committee to deal with COVID-19, the Public Prosecution announced on Thursday.
A statement issued online by the Public Prosecution said, "Primary courts in three governorates convicted six people for violating the Supreme Committee’s decisions that include violating institutional quarantine, gathering in public places, and removing tracking bracelets. They were sentenced to a period that extends to three months and a fine up to OMR 1000."
