Muscat: A balance must be made among the social, economic, and health aspects so that each of them does not overwhelm the other, His Excellency the Minister of Health said on Thursday.
The Minister of Health, His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Al Saeedi, said during the annual ceremony of Al Sharqia University that he is biased towards the economic and social aspect at the expense of the health, confirming that ”As a statesman, I say there must be balance.”
His Excellency added, ”The technical committee raises recommendations to the Supreme Committee on scientific grounds, which is the number of hospitalised patients in intensive care and hospitals, not the number of infections.”
His Excellency Dr. Al Saeedi reiterated that the spread of the epidemic is a negative factor for any economy.
