Fishermen in Oman asked to follow Covid-19 regulations

Muscat: The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources has urged fishermen to adhere to the decisions of the Supreme Committee to deal with COVID-19, and those who practice the profession of fishing in the evening period to hold valid fishing licenses.

A statement issued online by Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources said: "In line with the decisions of the Supreme Committee to deal with COVID-19 , which include preventing the movement of individuals and vehicles from 8 pm until 5 am effective from Sunday 28 March to Thursday 8 April morning, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources warns that the decisions of the Supreme Committee must be adhered to, and that fishermen who practice the profession of fishing in the evening period must hold valid fishing licenses. "

"As for fish transport trucks of 3 tons and above, they are exempt from the movement ban decision," the statement added.
